Runner Up ‘Best Newcomer of the Year 2016’ in the UK VA Awards
It is very important to establish your credibility with clients when you have a new business, and the best way to do this is through testimonials and awards, and I am thrilled to have received the Runner Up award for Best Newcomer 2016 in the UK VA Awards.
The awards are sponsored by BeMyVA who organise regional and national VA Award programmes and support the ongoing development of professional standards of VAs by working with the world`s leading organisations and associations.
On 17 November, I attended the Business Show at Olympia in London (the largest business show in the UK), where myself and two other Virtual Assistants had been shortlisted as finalists. After registering and having a look around the show, we joined the organisers of the awards at the presentation arena. After a short presentation about the awards, I was thrilled to be awarded Runner Up! The first twelve months in any business is a challenge, gaining new clients, running your own business as well as supporting your clients is all new and a steep learning curve, and I was so pleased that the hard work that I had put in had been recognised.
Judges comments: “Joanne showed a very professional approach to her business and we found her website easy to navigate and delivered a clear description of her business as a VA, including a very natural video in which she succinctly described the services her business could offer.”
I hope to re-enter the awards in a few years time in the main category, watch this space!
