Blogging & My Business
According to the website ‘How to Start a Blog Online’ each day, about 172,800 blogs are created, roughly!
So why would you want to start a blog and add to the thousands of people already writing about stuff?
You are unique. Only you have experienced the things that you have – and you see the world through your own eyes, so give a different perspective to others. When you start blogging, one of the key questions you ask yourself is ‘why would someone want to read what I write about?’ but it soon becomes apparent that the subjects you know inside out and the things you experience day after day, are new to others and can help them on their journeys.
“There are many benefits of blogging”
There are also many reasons to blog for your business, here’s just a few for starters:
- Drive traffic to your website;
- Establish yourself as an expert in your field;
- Generate business leads;
- Increase sales.
Business aside, there are a lot of personal benefits too. I have found that it really gets my brain ticking and I enjoy doing the research for some of my blogs too, so I learn a lot along the way.
“Although I haven’t written my own blog for a while, I have now brainstormed a few ideas with my digital mentor, Lizzie, and I’ve not stopped writing altogether!
As you know, I started the 30 Day Blogging Challenge – over 30 days ago – and it’s not done yet! Starting with all good intentions, understanding fully the time and dedication it would take – I soon got bloggers block (if that even is a ‘thing’) and got stuck for things to share (and things started getting busy back at the office, with new clients coming on board).
Guest Blogging
Whether it was because they had seen my blogs or because I am in the Executive Secretary Top 10 of the Top 250 List for PAs on Social Media (something I’m rather chuffed about), I have been asked by Global PA Magazine, PA Life Magazine and Office to write for them and the first article was published today – read it here.
